This is my final poster. I have made a few changes from my draft one, I have changed the pattern to the moon that is featured on the cover of my digipak, as this was suggested to me by my teacher. I have added in some information about the album such as the singles that it includes, I did this as I thought that the foot of my page was a bit empty so I wanted to add something that would fill in the space. I have done this as my draft looked a bit too plain. I have also changed the font of the advert to the same font that is on the digipak to keep continuity between the two.
To begin with, the poster is very well structured with a good layout leading to a professional poster with elements of realism. The image works will with connotations to the album title which makes the poster flow with a sense of continuity. Furthermore, carrying this image to the digipak makes the two products link together as one which allows the audience to establish a connection between the two as a brand. The digipak is simplistic, in particular, the cover. The front cover of the digipak is my favourite panel as it very minimal which works well. However, the poster does not follow this trend of simplicity as there are various pieces of text on the cover which reduces the simplicity slightly.
ReplyDeleteFirstly i believe the poster is very well layed out. This helps the poster to look professional and clean cut. I also like the fact that the poster has the same image as the digipak, this gives the element of continuity. This again helps with the professionalism. The colour scheme is very attractive as the blue and black work very well together.
ReplyDeletei like the colour scheme you have used here, especially how you have used the blue to allow key information to stand out, such as the album name and the key singles involved. furthermore the whole lay out is very professional, the use of the lines being broke up by the 'fancy lines' look unique. The key image is also placed in a central position which instantly attracts the audiences attention. It also connotes with the album title which allows the audience to connect with the poster effectively. all the information we need to know is included which is useful too, furthermore it flows as well when you read through it, all the information included is in the right place. Along with this it is a good minimalistic idea which you have portrayed well. Well done pol x
